These terms and conditions do not supersede statutory rights under the Sale of Goods acts but are designed to clarify the principles and procedures by which we operate.
We aim to process all publication orders within 24 hours or the next working day if the goods are in stock. Delivery is subject to Royal Mail and your local postal service. If the goods you order are out of stock we will dispatch the order to you as soon as the product becomes available. If we cannot source the item we will contact you.
Any loss or damage, or shortages must be reported to us with 24 hours from delivery via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or via telephone.
You can cancel an order prior to the dispatch of any goods. Our terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights. If you wish to cancel orders please contact us by telephone +44 (0) 207 379 7676 or e-mail email@example.com.
RETURNS AND REFUND POLICY FOR PRINT GOODS
Please check the goods on delivery and ensure that they are supplied correctly. If any of the goods prove to be damaged and you wish to make a return, please contact us by telephone +44 (0)207 379 7676 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
If the return is agreed, please return them within 7 days in the original packaging and in an unused condition. We will arrange a refund within 30 days after we have received the goods, subject to inspection. Customers based outside the EU will be responsible for any customs charges that might be incurred when returning goods.
REFUND POLICY FOR ONLINE ACCESS AND DIGITAL DOWNLOAD GOODS
Please note that it is not possible to issue refunds for digital products.
ACCEPTANCE OF ORDERS
All orders submitted through our website are confirmed by e-mail, fax or post after submission. No order should be deemed to be accepted without this confirmation. All orders are fulfilled subject to these terms and conditions.
Prices quoted are in Pounds Sterling, Euros or American Dollars.
Prices quoted for print products include delivery to the front door of your house or building to most addresses within Western Europe, deliveries are normally made within 3-6 weeks. Please note that for additional services such as evening or weekend delivery, deliveries to remote or island locations, deliveries outside Western Europe, or when special delivery services are requested, additional charges will apply. 1. You can buy publications and make payments via the IISS website.
2. You may e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, telephone number and a list of what you would like to order. We will then call you back to arrange. (Important: do not e-mail us your credit card details.)
3. You may settle your order over the telephone, +44 (0) 207 379 7676. Payment can be accepted using Visa, MasterCard or Delta (debit or credit cards).
4. You may print out and complete our order form, forward it to us by mail or facsimile +44 (0) 207 836 3108. Pay by Visa, MasterCard or Delta (debit or credit cards). Please make cheque or postal orders payable to The IISS.
FOR DATABASE ACCESS
1. Authentication System
Access is provided through password, IP address or range of IP addresses and/or other Authentication System satisfactory to the IISS, by which the customer will ensure that only Authorised Users are given access to the Database Material electronically online. Access is for one year from the Effective Date and is non-refundable.
2. 'Authorised User'
An individual who at the Effective Date or during the Access Period is employed by or under contract to the customer (on a temporary, permanent or visiting basis).
3. 'Effective Date'
The date of completion by the customer of the Registration Details or of payment of the Electronic Subscription Fee, if later.
Access may be terminated by either party by giving 30 days' notice in writing to the other if the other party commits any material or persistent breach of any term of the access period and (in the case of a breach capable of being remedied) shall have failed within 30 days after the receipt of a written request to remedy the same.
