    Antonio Sampaio: Hyper-violent criminality and its strategic effects in Latin America

    22 May 2015.  The territorial and military power acquired by criminal groups in the northern triangle of Central America and Mexico is characterised by the use of 'hyper-violent' tactics. The current levels of violence paint a complex picture of criminal networks and gang warfare, both of which have profoundly destabilising effects on developing countries.
