14th Asia Security Summit
US Secretary of Defense, Ashton Carter, has confirmed his participation in the upcoming 2015 Asia Security Summit: the IISS Shangri-La Dialogue. Other confirmed attendees include Gen Nakatani, the Japanese Minister of Defence as well as the defence minister of Germany, Indonesia, South Korea and the UK.
Following Shinzo Abe in 2014, Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will give the Keynote Address at the 2015 IISS Shangri-La Dialogue. The 14th Asia Security Summit convenes from 29-31 May in Singapore.

The threat of Islamic extremism in Asia arising from the emergence of the Islamic State of Iraq should be a focus of discussion at this year’s Shangri-La Dialogue, said Singapore’s defence minister Ng Eng Hen in his keynote address at the 3rd Fullerton Forum.
