The Regional Security Summit
This year's IISS Manama Dialogue gathered policymakers and analysts to examine the region's security challenges. Trump's Jerusalem decision and the need to give hope to the youth of the Middle East also emerged as key themes.

Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Bahraini Foreign Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa and former CIA Director David Petraeus, together highlighted ways to create a stable regional security architecture.
Examining ways to deal with terrorism alongside UK Defence Secretary Gavin Williamson and Iraqi National Security Adviser Faleh Al Fayad, UAE Foreign Minister Dr Anwar Mohammad Gargash condemned Trump's Jerusalem decision.
In a lively and wide-ranging discussion, both in terms of subjects and geographical scope, foreign ministers from Japan, India and Oman all called for the building of collaborative partnerships to foster prosperity.
IISS experts Professor Toby Dodge, John Raine and Emile Hokayem offered up their analysis of the current shape of regional conflicts, with the cyber domain emphasised as a particularly important battleground.
