Iran’s energy agency chief said today Iran has built a new generation of centrifuges for enriching uranium and is testing them. The United States and Western nations suspect Iran is secretly developing nuclear weapons, something the Islamic Republic has repeatedly denied.
Mark Fitzpatrick is a senior fellow at the International Institute for Strategic Studies. He says that it will be important for countries to clarify the interpretation of the non-proliferation treaty.
