Australian defense minister Brendan Nelson will attend a major regional security conference to be held in Singapore from June 1-3.
Mr Nelson said he will address the Sixth Asia Security Conference (Shangri-La Dialog) on current and future nuclear security challenges facing the Asia-Pacific region.
Mr Nelson said the Dialog, "provides an opportunity for Defense ministers and high level representatives from around the Asia Pacific to discuss defense and security issues within the region."

Singapore City, Singapore (AHN) - Australian defense minister Brendan Nelson will attend a major regional security conference to be held in Singapore from June 1-3.
Mr Nelson said he will address the Sixth Asia Security Conference (Shangri-La Dialog) on current and future nuclear security challenges facing the Asia-Pacific region.
Mr Nelson said the Dialog, "provides an opportunity for Defense ministers and high level representatives from around the Asia Pacific to discuss defense and security issues within the region."
Australia will also be represented by Secretary for Defense, Mr Nick Warner and Chief of the Defense Force, Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston.
Inaugurated in 2002, the Security Conference will this year be the largest yet with 25 countries expected to attend.
