Bahraini Crown Prince and Commander in Chief of the Bahraini Defence Force Sheikh Salman bin Hamad al-Khalifah received Premier and Foreign Minister HE Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor al-Thani at the Manama Ritz-Carlton Hotel yesterday on the sidelines of the fourth Manama Dialogue security conference.
They reviewed the fraternal relations between Qatar and Bahrain and ways to enhance them in all fields, as well as issues of common interest.
MANAMA: Bahraini Crown Prince and Commander in Chief of the Bahraini Defence Force Sheikh Salman bin Hamad al-Khalifah received Premier and Foreign Minister HE Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor al-Thani at the Manama Ritz-Carlton Hotel yesterday on the sidelines of the fourth Manama Dialogue security conference.
They reviewed the fraternal relations between Qatar and Bahrain and ways to enhance them in all fields, as well as issues of common interest.
The meeting was attended by Qatar’s Ambassador to Bahrain Sheikh Abdullah bin Thamer al-Thani and Acting Director of the Prime Minister’s office Abdullah Eid al-Suleiti.
Attending on the Bahraini side were Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad bin Isa al-Khalifah, Foreign Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohamed al-Khalifah, chief of the Crown Prince’s Dewan Sheikh Khalifa bin Duaiji al-Khalifah, and personal secretary of the crown prince Sheikh Abdullah bin Isa al-Khalifah.
Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor al-Thani also received US Defence Secretary Robert Gates and his accompanying delegation. They reviewed relations between the two countries and the current conditions in the Middle East.
Another meeting was with German Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Gunter Gloser.
Talks during the meeting dealt with aspects of co-operation between the two countries and ways of promoting them in addition to other regional and international issues of mutual concern.
The Premier and Foreign Minister also received India’s National Security Adviser M K Narayanan and his accompanying delegation.
Co-operation between Qatar and India and means of bolstering it in all fields as well as issues of mutual concern were discussed.
Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim returned home last night after his visit to Bahrain. - QNA
