Manama, Dec. 4 (BNA) UK Defence Secretary of State for Defense John Reid hailed today talks held with HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa as well as efforts to render second Gulf security conference 'Gulf Dialogue' success.
Reid hailed in an interview with Bahrain TV the firm Bahraini stances with UK and the strong cooperation , lauding the wise consultation in different issues. UK Defence Secretary said that he discussed Gulf Security with his counterparts in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia , Oman and Kuwait. Reid added that he visited Iraq to discuss this issue and met leaders of Iraqi forces during the last two days. He described the Iraqi situation as major challenge and help must be offered for Iraqis to achieve brighter future based on democracy and also to build the economic security in this country. Reid said that UK forces will leave Iraq if Iraqis build their security forces and able to protect their democracy. UK defense Secretary also stressed on the joint cooperation to fight terror and achieve stability in Iraq.
