EU Conference on Non-Proliferation and Disarmament

Atomium, Brussels

More than 200 experts have gathered in Brussels to discuss the spread of nuclear and other dangerous weapons.

The EU Non-Proliferation and Disarmament Conference organised by the IISS and its partners in the EU Non-Proliferation Consortium, takes place just as the EU has imposed a ban on Iranian oil sales in an effort to persuade Tehran back to the nuclear negotiating table.

The conference keynote address will be given by Hans Blix, the former Director General of the IAEA.
