Operations Manager
Main responsibilities: responsible for overall management and maintenance of building and office services. Assists the Director of Finance and Operations with personnel administration, including payroll. Acts as the Member Nominated Trustee of the IISS Staff Superannuation Scheme and is the Global Strategic Review Co-ordinator on the Conference Administration Team.
Background: served for 25 years in the Royal Navy, leaving in 1989 as a Warrant Officer Writer. Served throughout the world on a variety of ships from a coal-burning Boom Defence Vessel to an Aircraft Carrier. Spent 11 months as an Executive Officer in the UK Home Civil Service (MoD) prior to joining the IISS.
