Eleanor Pitt

Dialogues' Administrator and Research Analyst 
 
Main Responsibilities: Primarily assisting the coordination of the IISS Shangri-La Dialogue and Manama Dialogue Security Summits, from their planning and administration to their execution. In addition, supporting fully the activities of the Private Office of the Director-General as well as conducting research to aid the continued expansion of the Middle East programme at the IISS.
 
Background: Eleanor graduated from the University of Bristol with First Class Honours in Theology and Religious Studies. In 2006 she was awarded the Research Preparation Master’s Award from the Arts and Humanities Research Council  and so continued her focus on Islamic studies and Arabic at the School of Oriental and African Studies,  completing a Master’s degree in Near and Middle East Studies in 2007.
