NATO Discussion Series

The IISS has joined with Young Professionals in Foreign Policy (YPFP) to establish a discussion series focusing on the role of NATO. The series is supported by NATO’s Public Policy Division and will bring participants together in order to stimulate fresh thinking and debate concerning future directions for NATO.

NATO has proven its resilience; ongoing operations in Afghanistan demonstrate its continuing relevance as a forum for transatlantic security discussions, despite the emerging European security and defence identity. This series aims to promote NATO’s core values, interests and capabilities in support of the vital part which NATO plays in policy discussions and in mobilising its members’ responses to the critical issues and threats which they face.

This discussion series will be held in various locations across London.  Short reports of each discussion will be available on the IISS website following the event.

For further details of this series, please contact Raffaello Pantucci.
