9 June 2005 - Dr V.P. Dutt - Future of India-China Relations

On 9 June 2005, the IISS hosted a Special Round Table Discussion with Dr V.P. Dutt, Former Pro-Vice Chancellor, University of Delhi, Delhi. Dr Dutt gave a presentation on 'Future of India-China Relations'. The Round Table Discussion was chaired by Mr Adam Ward, IISS Senior Fellow for East Asian Security and Editor of IISS Strategic Comments.

Dr Dutt is an expert on Indian foreign policy, including India-China relations. He was a Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) for over a decade, and a former Member of the Union Education Ministry’s Committee on the Open University.
 
Dr Dutt is an author of number of books and articles on contemporary Indian foreign and security policy. His most recent publications include chapters in books on Afghanistan, Iraq, Russia, and China. He is a well-known commentator on international security affairs.
