Each year, an IISS team visits South Asia to conduct joint seminars in collaboration with security Think Tanks in the region, to call on senior government officials and military officers, and to engage in dicussions with strategic communities.
These annual conferences organised by the IISS South Asia programme are aimed at examining regional security issues in an off-the-record and informal setting.
