Towards a New European Security Architecture?

Alexander Grushko, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation gives the Keynote Address “A New European Security Architecture: a Russian view”

On 8-9 December 2009 the International Institute for Strategic Studies and The Council on Foreign and Defence Policy (Moscow) in cooperation with the Valdai International Discussion Club (Moscow) and RIA Novosti hosted an international conference on "Towards a New European Security Architecture?” 

The conference discussed the prospects for cooperation on the new European Security Treaty proposals by the Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.  The conference brought together a small group of leading Russian, European and US experts as well as senior officials from the Russian government, CSTO, NATO, OSCE, and the EU.

The Keynote Address was given by Alexander Grushko, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation and Marc Perrin de Brichambaut, OSCE Secretary General spoke at the opening Dinner. Read the Keynote Address
