4th Georgian-Ossetian Dialogue
The Fourth meeting of the IISS-facilitated Georgian-Ossetian Dialogue took place on 19-20 May 2006 in Tbilisi. The meeting continued discussions of the restitution and compensation process for the victims of the Georgian-Ossetian conflict. More than 80 participants attended the meeting which included senior Government representatives, members of the Georgian parliament, Georgian NGOs, and representatives of refugee organisations from North Ossetia and South Ossetia.
3rd Georgian-Ossetian Dialogue
The third expert meeting of the Georgian-Ossetian Dialogue, conducted by the IISS, took place on 30-31 March 2006 in Vladikavkaz, in the Russian Republic of North Ossetia-Alania.The objective of this meeting was to exchange views on the ways to resolve the problems of the refugees who fled Georgia in the 1990s, most of whom reside on the territory of the Russian Federation, primarily in North Ossetia.

30-31 марта 2006 года во Владикавказе (Северная Осетия, Россия) прошла экспертная встреча в рамках проекта Грузино-Осетинского Диалога, проводимого под эгидой лондонского Международного Института Стратегических Исследований (IISS). Цель встречи обменяться мнениями о путях и формах решения проблем беженцев, покинувших территорию Грузии в 1990-е годы, большинство из которых проживают на территории России, главным образом в Северной Осетии.
Round table on Shanghai Cooperation Process
On 27-28 January2006 the IISS Russia and Eurasia Programme organised a round table meeting entitled Ten Years of the Shanghai Co-operation Process and Regional Security Challenges in Central Asia. The meeting took place in Arundel House as part of the on-going research project on relations between the Shanghai Co-operation organisation and other influential players in Central Asia, which is supported by a grant from Sasakawa Peace Foundation.
