On 24 May 2002 Brig. Naeem Salik spoke at a roundtable discussion meeting entitled “Prospects for Arms Control in South Asia”. Brig. Naeem Salik is the Director, Arms Control and Disarmament Affairs, Strategic Plans Division at the Joint Staff Headquarter in Chaklala, Pakistan.
Brig. Naeem Salik discussed the history and prospects for arms control efforts in South Asia and described the Pakistan government’s proposals for strategic restraint and confidence building measures with India. The discussion also addressed the current situation between India and Pakistan.
