Yezid Sayigh is Professor of Middle East Studies in the Department of War Studies at King's College London. From 1994 to 2003 he was Assistant Director of Studies at the Centre of International Studies, University of Cambridge. He additionally directed the Middle East programme at the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) in London. Previously he was a Palestinian advisor and negotiator in the peace talks with Israel and has continued to give advice on negotiations and Palestinian reform.
Nomi Bar-Yaacov is a Foreign Policy Adviser on Middle Eastern Affairs and the former head of the Middle East Conflict Management Programme at the IISS. The main focus of her work is the role of international actors in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Prior to joining the IISS, she worked for three years as a diplomatic correspondent in the Middle East covering Syrian-Israeli talks in Shepherdstown and Palestinian-Israeli talks in Camp David in 2000. Earlier in her career, she worked as political adviser at the United Nations both in the Executive Office of the Secretary General and in the Department of Political Affairs.
