Professor Anatol Lieven is Chair of International Relations and Terrorism Studies at King's College London, and a senior fellow of the New America Foundation in Washington DC. His latest book, Ethical Realism: A Vision for America's Role in the World, co-authored with John Hulsman, was published in September 2006 by Pantheon. His previous book was America Right or Wrong: An Anatomy of American Nationalism (2004).
Dr Dana Allin is Editor of Survival and Senior Fellow for Transatlantic Affairs at IISS in London. He is the author of Cold War Illusions: America, Europe and Soviet Power, 1969-1989 (1994, second edition 1998), and the Adelphi Paper NATO's Balkan Interventions (AP 347, 2002); and co-author of the Adelphi Paper Repairing the Damage: Possibilities and Limits of Transatlantic Consensus (AP 389, 2007).
