  • Panel Discussion - Langton et. al.   • Lecture - Ashley J. Tellis On Friday 19 October 2007 Ashley J. Tellis, Senior Associate at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, will speak on the topic of "China’s Military Use of Space" from 11 am - 12 noon.
  • Key Address - Sergio Jaramillo Sergio JaramilloOn Wednesday 17 October 2007, Sergio Jaramillo (Deputy Minister of Defence for Colombia) will give an address on the topic of "Colombia: Drugs, Insurgency and the Search for Peace" from 12 noon.
  • Discussion Meeting - Professor Gary Sick On Wednesday 10 October 2007, Professor Gary Sick (Columbia University) will lead a discussion on " Strategic Consequences of the Iranian Nuclear Programme" from 10-11am.
  • Discussion Meeting - Lt General Asad Durrani On Tuesday 9 October 2007, Lt General Asad Durrani (retd) (Former Director General, Inter-Services Intelligence, Pakistan) will lead a discussion meeting on the topic of "Pakistan: The Army & Democracy" from 11.30am-12.30pm.
  • Discussion Meeting - Grant & Antonenko On Tuesday 9 October 2007, Charles Grant (Director, Center for European Reform) and Oksana Antonenko (IISS Senior Fellow for Russia and Eurasia) will lead a discussion meeting on the topic of "Russia’s Prospects and Implications for Europe" from 2.30-4pm.
  • AP Book Launch - Repairing the Damage Repairing the DamageOn Monday 8 October 2007, the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) held a briefing to mark the release of its latest Adelphi Paper, entitled Repairing the Damage: Possibilities and limits of transatlantic consensus, at 12:45pm. The launchfeatured brief remarks from the co-authors Dana H. Allin, Gilles Andréani, Philippe Errera and Gary Samore. Dr Patrick Cronin (Editor, Adelphi Papers and IISS Director of Studies) chaired the event.

  • Book Launch - Sir Michael Howard On Wednesday 3 October 2007, Sir Michael Howard (President Emeritus, IISS) will be speaking on his book Liberation or Catastrophe? Drinks will be served from 5.30pm, followed by a dicussion and Q&A session from 6-7pm.
