On Wednesday 21 March 2007 Dr Gary Samore, Vice President, Director of Studies and Maurice R. Greenberg Chair, Council on Foreign Relations, lead a discussion on "Iran: The Prospects of Military Conflict" from 1.30-2.30pm.
 
Gary Samore is the Vice President, Director of Studies and Maurice R. Greenberg Chair at the Council of Foreign Relations in New York. He is a former Director of Studies and Senior Fellow for Non-Proliferation at the IISS, and was the editor of three strategic dossiers on weapons programmes in Iraq, North Korea, and Iran.  Before this, he served as the Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Nonproliferation and Export Controls on the US National Security Council. In addition, he has served at the State Department, at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, as a consultant at the Rand Corporation, and as a teaching fellow at Harvard University. Prior to taking up his post at the Council on Foreign Relations, Dr Samore was the Vice President for Global Security and Sustainability at the MacArthur Foundation.  
 
This meeting will took place on the Fifth Floor at Arundel House, 13-15 Arundel Street, WC2R 3DX.
