On Wednesday 31 January 2007, the International Institute for Strategic Studies will be launching The Military Balance 2007, the annual assessment of the military capabilities and defence economics of 170 countries world-wide at 10.30 am.
A detailed press statement will be made by Dr John Chipman, Director-General of the IISS. Dr Chipman, along with Col Christopher Langton, Editor of The Military Balance, and other senior IISS staff members will then take questions for 35–40 minutes.

Please note that copies of The Military Balance 2007 will only be issued at the launch to those who attend the launch.
