On Wednesday 24 January 2007 Frank Hoffmann, Research Fellow, Marine Corps Center for Emerging Threats and Opportunities, will lead a discussion on "Iraq's Lessons: Can America Overcome the Terminator Syndrome" from 3.30-4.30pm.
Retired Marine Colonel Frank G. Hoffman will critically review ongoing efforts in the United States to adapt to future conflicts (what he calls Hybrid Wars) and modern counterinsurgencies (termed Neo-COIN). Mr Hoffman is a Research Fellow at the Marine Corps Center for Emerging Threats and Opportunities, and affiliated as an adjunct Senior Fellow with the Foreign Policy Research Institute in Philadelphia, PA. A contributing author to the latest U.S. counterinsurgency manual, Mr Hoffman is a widely published military analyst and regularly lectures in the UK and Asia.
