10 Oct 06 - Corporate Event - Mr Rahul Roy-Chaudhury

On Tuesday 10 October 2006 Mr. Rahul Roy-Chaudhury, IISS Research Fellow for South Asia,  will address Coporate Members and a few Special Guests on  "Key Security Issues for South Asia".
Rahul Roy-Chaudhury was a Senior Research Fellow at the International Policy Institute at King’s College, London in 2002-03. During 2000-02, he served in the National Security Council Secretariat in the Prime Minister’s Office in India.
 
Prior to his appointment to the Government, he was on the faculty of the Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses in New Delhi. He was educated at the Universities of East Anglia and Oxford. His publications include India’s Maritime Security (IDSA & Knowledge World, New Delhi, 2000); Sea Power and Indian Security (Brassey’s, UK, London, 1995); 'India and Pakistan: Nuclear-Related Programmes and Aspirations at Sea' in Lowell Dittmer (eds) South Asia’s Nuclear Security Dilemma: India, Pakistan, and China (New York: M E Sharpe, 2005); ‘Nuclear Doctrine, Declaratory Policy, and Escalation Control’ in Michael Krepon, et.al. (eds) Escalation Control and the Nuclear Option in South Asia (The Henry L. Stimson Centre, Washington, DC, 2004); and 'The Maritime and Naval Dimensions of India's Security' in P.V. Rao (ed) India and the Indian Ocean (South Asian Publishers, New Delhi, 2003).
The meeting will take place at  Arundel House 13-15 Arundel Street, Temple Place, London WC2R 3DX on the 5th floor.  Teas and coffees will bge served from 10.00am, the talk will begin at 10.30am with questions from the floor from 11.15am and the meeting will conclude at 12.00 noon.
