30 Nov 06 - Round Table Discussion - Dr Chris Smith

On Thursday 30 November 2006 Dr Chris Smith, former Founder Director of the Conflict, Security and Development Group King's College, London, will lead a discussion on "Sri Lanka: The Eelam End-Game?" from 3-4pm.
Chris Smith is currently working as a freelance consultant.  His research on Sri Lanka includes support for the National Commission on Illegal Weapons and a project on weapons decommissioning is under preparation as is a project on technology and organised crime.  His main area of work at present involves preparing expert witness reports for the British courts on Sri Lankan asylum seekers in the UK. He is a Senior Visiting Research Fellow at the International Policy Institute (IPI), King’s College, London; a Senior Visiting Fellow at the Centre for Governance at the University of Bristol; Associate Fellow with the International Security Programme at Chatham House; Visiting Research Fellow at the Centre for Research in Innovation Management (CENTRIM); and Visiting Fellow at the Cambridge Security Programme.
