  • Discussion Meeting - Thomas E Ricks On Friday 1 September 2006 Thomas E Ricks will discuss his new book ''FIASCO: The American Military Adventure in Iraq".
  • Meeting - Panel on Middle East Crisis On Wednesday 26 July 2006, in response to recent developments in the Middle East, the IISS held a discussion meeting with a panel of three experts in their respective fields. Sufyan Abu Zayda, Former Minister for Prisoners' Affairs, Palestinian Authority, Nomi Bar-Yaacov, Foreign Policy Advisor on Middle Eastern Affairs and Mamoun Fandy, IISS Senior Fellow for Gulf Security, will brief on and discuss the current crisis.   • Address - Rt Hon William Hague MP On Monday 24 July 2006 The Rt Hon William Hague MP will address IISS Members on 'Meeting the Challenge of Nuclear Proliferation in the 21st Century'.
  • Address - Ivo Sanader - Croatian On Tuesday 18 July 2006 Ivo Sanader, Prime Minister of Croatia, will address IISS Members on "Croatia - 28th EU Member State". Ivo Sanader was appointed prime minister after his Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) won the country's general election in late November 2003. He has listed EU and NATO integration among his key priorities.
  • Discussion meeting - Amb Prasad On Thursday 13 July 2006 Ambassador Jayant Prasad, India's Ambassador and Permament Representative to the Conference on Disarmament in Geneva, will speak on "India and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Regime".
  • Corporate Members Programme - Sir C Hum KCMG On Monday 10 July 2006 Sir Christopher Hum KCMG, recently returned from China after nearly four years as British Ambassador in China, will speak on "China as a Global Actor". Tea and coffe will be served from 10.00 am and the talk will begin at 10.30 am. A Q&A session will follow at 11.15 amd and the meeting will conclude at 12.00 noon.
