Discussion Meeting - Mr. Brian Cloughley On Friday 29 September, 2006, Mr. Brian Cloughley, author of 'A History of the Pakistan Army', will speak on "Key developments on the Pakistan-Afghanistan Border".
Military Leaders Forum - Lt Gen Baptiste On Monday 25 September Lieutenant General Thomas L. Baptiste, Deputy Chairman, NATO Military Committee, Brussels, was due to give a talk at the Institute but owing to a change in his schedule is unable to keep this appointment and therefore this meeting has been cancelled.
Military Leaders Forum - Gen Ehsan Ul Haq On Tuesday 19 September 2006, General Ehsan Ul Haq, NI(M), Chairman of Pakistan's Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, will address Members of the Institute on "Pakistan: Geostrategic Challenges and Opportunities ", as part of the IISS Military Leaders’ Forum.
Discussion Meeting - Dr Nora Bensahel On Monday 18 September 2006 Dr Nora Bensahel, Senior Political Scientist at RAND, will lead a discussion on “Stabilisation and Counterinsurgency in Iraq” from 4-5pm.
Discussion Meeting - Mr Gregg A. Rubinstein On Monday 18 September 2006 Mr Gregg A. Rubinstein, Consultant on Security, Trade and Technology, will lead a discussion on “Current Developments in US-Japan Ballistic Missile Defence Cooperation” from 2-3pm.
