06 May 2005 - Round Table Discussion - Kashmala Tariq

On Friday 6 May 2005 Ms. Kashmala Tariq, Member of the National Assembly of Pakistan, gave a talk on "Empowering the Women of Pakistan: Challenges and Accomplishments". This event took place between 12 noon - 1pm.
Ms. Kashmala Tariq has been elected to the National Assembly of Pakistan on the Pakistan Muslim League (Quaid-i-Azam) seat. She is currently Chairperson for Women Rights in the Parliamentarian’s Commission for Human Rights and a member of several National Assembly Standing Committees, including Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee. Ms. Tariq served as Secretary General of an Environmental NGO (SATH) in 1992-1995.
 
Ms. Tariq completed her LL.B in the Punjab University Law College in 1996 and LL.M at the London School of Economics in 1998.
 
The discussion will be held in the 4th floor meeting room at the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), Arundel House, 13-15 Arundel Street, Temple Place, London WC2R 3DX.
