On Monday 21 March Brigadier Arun Sahgal (retd), Senior Fellow at the Institute for Defense Studies and Analyses (IDSA), New Delhi, lead a discussion on "Simulating Futuristic Scenarios for Nepal's Emergency". This event took place between 12 noon - 1pm.
Brigadier Sahgal joined the IDSA in 2003, after retiring from the Indian Army. Earlier, he was the first Director of the Office of Net Assessments of the Indian Joint Staff, which was formed in 2001 following the reorganisation of the Indian defence establishment. He was commissioned into the Armoured Corps of the Indian Army.
Brigadier Sahgal is shortly to take over as Deputy Director (Research), United Service Institution of India (USI), New Delhi and concurrently head its new Centre for Strategic Studies and Simulation.
