On Friday 8 July Major General Shaukat Sultan, Press Secretary to President Pervez Musharraf and Director General, ISPR, Pakistan, lead a discussion on "The Current Phase of the War on Terror". This event took place between 12 noon and 1pm.
Major General Sultan was appointed Press Secretary to President Pervez Musharraf in June 2004. He took up the position of Director General of ISPR in May 2003, and continues to hold this position. In his capacity as Director General of ISPR, Major General Sultan is the official spokesperson for the Pakistan Armed Forces.
The discussion will be held in the 4th floor meeting room at the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), Arundel House, 13-15 Arundel Street, Temple Place, London WC2R 3DX.
