On Friday 9 December 2005 Bob van der Zwaan, Senior Scientist at the Energy Research Centre of the Netherlands (ECN) will be speaking on "Nuclear Energy and Climate Change: Security and Sustainability".
Bob van der Zwaan is senior scientist at the Energy research Centre of the Netherlands (ECN, Amsterdam). He previously held positions at Harvard University (BCSIA), the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (IVM), Stanford University (CISAC) and the Institut Français des Relations Internationales (Paris). He received graduate degrees in physics (CERN and Utrecht), economics (Cambridge), and international relations (Geneva). His current research covers the fields of climate change, technological innovation, energy economics, and science and world affairs. He is (co-)author of over 80 articles in refereed scientific journals, published two monographs, contributed chapters to several books, and is co-editor of two peer-reviewed volumes on energy and sustainability.
