  • Discussion Meeting - Joseph A Kéchichian On Thursday 21 April 2005 at 10.30-11.30am Dr Joseph A Kéchichian gave a talk on ‘Political Participation and Stability in Saudi Arabia’.
  • Round Table Discussion - Rifaat Hussain On Thursday, April 14, 2005 Dr Rifaat Hussain, Senior Research Fellow, National Defence College, Islamabad gave a talk on 'Prospects for the Musharraf-Singh - Meeting on April 16/17 and the Peace Process'.
  • Round Table Discussion - Shlomo Avineri On Thursday 14 April 2005 Professor Shlomo Avineri, from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, spoke on 'Prospects for Peace and Democratisation in the Middle East – An Overview'. This event took place between 11am-12.30pm.
  • Round Table Discussion - V.G. Patankar On Friday 8 April 2005 Lt. General V. G. Patankar (retd.), Former General-Officer Commanding (GOC), 15 Corps, Indian Army (Kashmir Valley), lead a discussion on "The Army's Initiative in Civic Actions in Kashmir". This event took place between 12 noon and 1pm.
  • General Abdul Rahim Wardak General Abdul Rahim WardakOn Tuesday 5th April 2005, His Excellency General Abdul Rahim Wardak, The Minister for Defence of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan spoke at the IISS from 1.15-2.15pm. The title of his speech is “Security Sector Reform and State-Building in Afghanistan”.
