  • Round Table - Lt. General Hasan (retd.) On Friday 18 November 2005 Lt. General Syed Arif Hasan (retd.), Managing Director, Fauji Foundation, Pakistan, lead a talk on "Military Disengagement in Siachen: Problems and Prospects". This event took place from 2-3pm.
  • Round Table - Lt Gen. (retd.) Raghavan On Tuesday 8 November 2005 Lt General (retd.) V.R. Raghavan, Director of the Delhi Policy Group in India, lead a discussion on "The Siachen Glacier: Prospects for Military Disengagement?” This event took place between 4pm and 5pm.
  • Discussion Meeting - Steven Simon On Monday 7 November 2005 Steven Simon, Former Assistant Director of the IISS and Former Senior Director of the US National Security Council, will be speaking on "The Next Attack: The Globalization of Jihad". This event will take place between 1.30pm and 2.30pm.
  • Corporate Members' Meeting - Bar-Yaacov On Monday 31 October 2005 Nomi Bar-Yaacov, Expert in Middle Eastern Affairs and Post-Conflict Peace Building and ex IISS Research Fellow for Conflict Management, will give an address on 'Challenges Facing Palestinians and Israelis Post-Gaza Withdrawal'. The address will commence at 10.30 on the 5th Floor of Arundel House, although tea and coffee will be served at 10am and a Q & A session will follow. The event will conclude at 12 noon.   • Book Launch - The Military Balance 2005/2006 On Tuesday 25 October 2005, the International Institute for Strategic Studies will be launching The Military Balance 2005/2006, the annual assessment of the military capabilities and defence economics of 169 countries world-wide. The launch will take place from 10.30am.
