Ms. Oksana Antonenko is Senior Fellow and Programme Director (Russia and Eurasia) at the International Institute for Strategic Studies. She has been researching Russia’s foreign and security policy and, with Kathryn Pinnick, has co-edited a book entitled “Russia and the European Union”. (Routledge, November 2004).
Ms. Antonenko is a graduate of Moscow State University and attended the J.F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. She regularly contributes to all IISS publications covering Russia, Ukraine, Caucasus and Central Asia.
Mr. Hiski Haukkala is a researcher and head of the EU Enlargement Project at the Finnish Institute of International Affairs in Helsinki. He is also a researcher at the Department of Political Science at the University of Turku.
Mr Haukkala is currently a Visiting Research Fellow at the IISS and has previously been a Visiting Research Fellow at the EU Institute for Security Studies in Paris. He has written extensively about the EU-Russia relationship and issues of regional security in Northern Europe. He has edited two books namely “The dynamic aspects of the northern dimension” and “The EU common strategy on Russia: learning the grammar of the CFSP” (together with Sergei Medvedev).
