10th Anniversary - Chechnya War On 6 December 2004, the IISS held an Eurasia Strategy Seminar on "The 10th Anniversary Since the Beginning of the First War in Chechnya: Outcomes, Regional Implications and Future Prospects".
Discussion Meeting - Oksana Antonenko On Friday 10 December Oksana Antonenko, Senior Fellow and Programme Director (Russisa & Eurasia), IISS and Hiski Haukkala, Head of the EU Enlargement Project at the Finnish Institute of International Affairs will be talking on "Russia and the European Union: prospects for a new relationship" to mark the latest IISS (Routledge) Publication “Russia and the European Union” co-edited by Oksana Antonenko and Kathryn Pinnick.The meeting will take place at 1.30pm.
IISS-US Regional Conference On 8-10 December 2004, the IISS-US and the Chemical and Biological Arms Control Institute held a regional conference on "The Future of the Life Sciences: Reaping the Rewards and Managing the Risks".
