Main Responsibilities: Copy-editing, proofreading and production across IISS publications, including Survival, Adelphi books, etc; editorial duties for IISS online, including IISS Voices blog; assisting Editorial Manager with implementation and development of IISS website.
Background: Before joining the IISS, Alexa worked in New York as a freelance journalist and in the Communications Department of the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs. Alexa was Publications Editor at the British Institute of International and Comparative Law from 2008-2011. Previous posts include news reporter at Law Business Research and researcher at The Week. Alexa holds an MS in International and European Politics from Edinburgh University (’05) and an MS in Journalism from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism (’12), where during the spring semester she worked as a fact-checker for the New York Times Syndicate.
