Dina Esfandiary
Research Associate, Non-Proliferation and Disarmament programme
Main Responsibilities: Research and analysis on non-proliferation and general security in the Middle East, including but not limited to, Iran nuclear programme and internal security and Syria’s WMD programmes. Assist in the management of other aspects of the NPD programme, including projects focused on the Middle East and Asia.
Background: Prior to joining the IISS as an intern, she worked at a disarmament NGO focusing on getting non-State actors to comply with international agreements, and at the UN. Dina graduated from Kings College London in 2008 with a Masters degree in Intelligence and International Security. She also holds a Masters degree in International Relations from the Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva.
