I am not a member of the IISS. Can I use the IISS Library?
Non-members can use the Library on payment of an entrance charge. See the main Library page for full details.
When is the Library open?
The Library is open Monday to Friday 10am–5pm. Please check the notices on the main Library page for occasional closure dates before visiting.
How do I become a member of the IISS?
Membership details are specified on the membership webpages.
Have you got any material on a particular subject?
Please consult our online catalogue. Please note that we do not provide bibliographies.
Can you send me books on a particular subject?
We do not send out books from our collection to non-members. Non-members can use the Library for reference on payment of an entrance charge (see above point on using the IISS Library), but only members are permitted to take books out on loan.
I want to study international relations in the United Kingdom. Can you recommend a university?
The IISS does not provide advice on studying in the United Kingdom.
Can I purchase IISS publications from the Library?
The Library does not sell IISS publications. For details of IISS publications and prices, please see the IISS bookstore. Copies can be either purchased online or ordered from our publishers, Taylor and Francis.
