Global Strategic Review 2009 - Keynote Address

Dr Zbigniew Brzezinski, Former US National Security Advisor; Counselor and Trustee, The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), delivers the Keynote Address at the Global Strategic Review 2009

The International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) opened the 7th IISS Global Strategic Review on Friday 11 September 2009 with some 350 government officials, academics, foreign policy experts and IISS Members.  During the opening Keynote Address, Dr Zbigniew Brzezinski, Former US National Security Advisor; delivered a comprehensive speech regarding the issues that President Obama faces in the current global geopolitical climate. Read More  

Shangri-La Dialogue 2009

The 8th Shangri-La Dialogue was convened in Singapore from 29 to 31 May, 2009.

 

The Shangri-La Dialogue is recognised as a key event for defence and security diplomacy for the region. Since its inaugural meeting in 2002, the Dialogue has become an integral part of the architecture of Asian defence diplomacy and is seen as the region's premier and most inclusive security institution.
