The 2008 Global Strategic Review was held on 12-14 September 2007 in Geneva, Switzerland.
A number of international officials from diverse backgrounds headlined the 2007 Global Strategic Review, including: Jakob Gijsbert ‘Jaap’ de Hoop Scheffer, NATO Secretary General; and His Excellency Pascal Lamy, Director General, World Trade Organisation.
A variety of heads of leading research institutes around the world were invited, including Professor Joseph Nye, Harvard; former UN weapons inspector Rolf Ekeus; Professor Mary Kaldor, Director of the Centre for the Study of Global Governance at the London School of Economics; Dr Rose Gottemeoller, Director of the Carnegie Moscow Center; C. Raja Mohan; Ambassador Barry Desker, S.
