Assistant Editor, Adelphis
Responsibilities: Assistant Editor of the Adelphi series of books. Copy-editing and liaising with authors, the designer and the publisher to deliver policy-relevant analysis for the informed public. Editing and proofreading other IISS publications as necessary.
Background: After gaining a BA (hons) in English language and literature from St Anne’s college, Oxford University, Jan worked as a freelance copywriter for magazines and academic publishers while studying for an MA in Media and Communications. Before joining the IISS in November 2009, she worked as a subeditor for the Daily Mail.
