Defence Analyst (Ground Forces and Information)
Responsibilities: Includes analysis of land forces and the transfer of the Military Balance information into a database to facilitate its production as an electronic publication and an internet based military information system.
Background: Educated by Benedictine monks at Downside, he was commissioned from The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst into The Life Guards. He left the British Army in 1994 after 20 years service including command and staff appointments. After leaving he has worked as a military consultant and analyst to the UK MOD, defence research establishments and NATO.
