Research Associate for International Law and Strategy
Main Responsibilities: Research areas falling primarily in the area of international law, including border security, the role of non-state actors in regional conflict, and evolving trends in Gulf security.
Background: Elham graduated from the University of London with First Class Honours in Law, and received an LLM in International Law from Harvard University, where she served as submissions editor of the Harvard Journal of International Law. Prior to joining the IISS, Elham practised civil law for a year and completed internships at the United Nations Development Program and the Redress Trust.
