Program Officer and Research Analyst
Main Responsibilities: Becca is the principal contact for US government delegations at IISS conferences, including the Manama Dialogue and the Shangri-La Dialogue. She is the main liaison between the IISS-US and other IISS offices, coordinating programming and research related to the US and the Middle East, organizing US based events and conferences, and is responsible for US-based media relations and outreach to the IISS global membership. Becca’s research focuses on US foreign policy, terrorism and the Middle East.
Background: Becca graduated from Brandeis University with a BA, cum laude, in International Relations and Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies. She received high honors for her senior thesis on an Iraqi insurgent movement. Prior to joining the IISS, Becca worked as a Research Assistant at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, concentrating on terrorism and the Middle East.
