Dialogues and Conference Manager

 

Main responsibilities: Conference management of the Manama Dialogue, the Shangri-La Dialogue and all other major international conferences and summits organised at the IISS. Managing, planning and implementing all aspects of the major international events, details of which include managing all logistical requirements, managing the team and their workload distribution, invitation coordination and oversight of participation, main point of contact to event contractors and conference venues, and managing all other event logistics including stage design, registration and coordination of the technical and AV element alongside the Conference Technical Director. 

 

Background:  In her previous post Helen was a Senior Conference Coordinator at the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust, a charity heavily involved in supporting educational systems on an international basis.  In that role she has covered all facets of conference organisation from planning through to on-site event management, and her international experience includes the organisation of major events in Abu Dhabi, the UK, and elsewhere.  Prior to that she held a similar position at Peter Acton Associates, a business and management consultancy.  Helen has a BA in Broadcasting, Film and Journalism from Cardiff University.
