Special Assistant to the Director of Studies
Responsibilities: Caitlin Brannan is responsible for the day-to-day running of the office of the Director of Studies. This includes grant preparation, administration and reporting; assisting the Director of Studies in the development of relationships with funders and consumers of IISS research; the organisation of workshops and conferences including the annual Global Strategic Review, and other initiatives designed to strengthen the research programmes of the Institute.
Background: Prior to joining the Institute, Caitlin worked at the United Nations in Geneva on environmental post-conflict reconstruction in the Balkans and the Occupied Palestinian Territories, taking part in Missions and assisting on report writing.
After earning her BA (Hons) degree, she lived and worked in Spain for some years before returning to London to work in the financial sector, for Zurich Financial Services and Citigroup. She was born and brought up in East Africa and speaks Spanish and French.
