On Thursday 6 March 2008, Ms Nomi Bar-Yaacov (Expert in Middle Eastern Affairs and Post-Conflict Peace Building) addressed members and guests of the Institute on "New Imperatives for Israeli-Palestinian Peace." Ms Bar-Yaacov examined the current political trends in Israel and Palestine, with a particular emphasis on Hamas-Fatah relations. The main focus, however was on how international actors might facilitate progress towards a peace settlement. Organised by IISS-Asia, the event took place in the meeting room at 9 Raffles Place, #53-02 Republic Plaza.
Ms Bar-Yaacov is a London-based foreign policy adviser, specialising in Middle Eastern affairs.
