  • Alexey D Muraviev Alexey D Muraviev  On Wednesday 11 June 2008, Dr Alexey D Muraviev (strategic affairs analyst, Curtin University of Technology) addressed Members of the Institute on “Russia's Strategic and Defence Policy in the Asia-Pacific”.  
  • Nomi Bar-Yaacov Nomi Bar-Yaacov  On Thursday 6 March 2008, Ms Nomi Bar-Yaacov (Expert in Middle Eastern Affairs and Post-Conflict Peace Building) addressed members and guests of the Institute on "New Imperatives for Israeli-Palestinian Peace". Ms Bar-Yaacov examined the current political trends in Israel and Palestine, with a particular emphasis on Hamas-Fatah relations. The main focus, however was on how international actors might facilitate progress towards a peace settlement.
  • Nigel Inkster Nigel Inkster  On Tuesday 15 January 2008, Mr Nigel Inkster (Director of Transnational Threats and Political Risks, IISS) addressed members and guests of the Institute on 'Prospective Developments in Jihadi Terrorism'. Organised by IISS-Asia, the event took place in the meeting room of its new office at 9 Raffles Place, #53-02 Republic Plaza.
