Regional Offices

Capitol Hill
The IISS has long been an international organisation. In 2001 it began to establish offices overseas with the opening of IISS-US in Washington and IISS-Asia in Singapore. These offices will keep the IISS in closer touch with its members in key regions, recruit more individual and corporate members, raise funds, and develop research and conference activities that engage local government officials, business people, analysts and opinion-formers. Regional directors of IISS offices will be responsible for securing full funding to meet local overheads and research programme costs. These offices have their own Board of Directors and are linked to the ideals of the IISS Mission Statement.
 
IISS Asia Office - Singapore
The IISS is presently in discussion with officials in other countries, to explore the opportunities for expanding its global reach consistent with the IISS Mission Statement.
