In March 2011, shortly before he joined the NSC, Steven SImon spoke on a panel with Dr Dana Allin, IISS Senior Fellow for US Foreign Policy and Transatlantic Affairs at the IISS in London on the strategic challenges facing the Obama administration in the Middle East.

 

The pair are the co-authors, most recently, of The Sixth Crisis: Iran, Israel, America and the Rumors of War (Oxford University Press), which Foreign Affairs magazine described as ‘the best description available of "the sixth crisis" that Washington has faced in the Middle East since World War II...’
